2. What stood out to me in my elevator pitch was including statistics on my particular industry to emphasize the potential growth there is in it. I feel as if numbers paint a good picture of what the future has in store for "Gainz on the Go." The one comment that did make me think was the extra cost in ingredients that are locally produced they might be more expensive but finding out the exact prices will be crucial for my business model.
3. I have to admit all three points mention in the assignment description are true I basically now have the elevator pitch known by memory, I am more comfortable being in front of the camera, and overall the pitch itself is much better than when I did it for the first time.

21A - Reading Reflection
1. The general theme of the book is to go against the basic information most self help books talk about, and give tools that people do not realize are simple but can have a major impact on your success in life. One key example is how Scott Adam emphasizes how goals are for losers. He claims that goals are demotivating because they have you trapped in a 24/7 sense of failure up until you complete. He believes we should think of our goals as systems instead. Scott's reasoning behind this is that systems are first of all more realistic because you do things little by little piece by piece which is more motivating, as well as you think about all the steps you need to fulfill in order to achieve this end you desire to conquer rather then setting up a goal and not planning on how to achieve it.
2. In my opinion what I connected the book with to this class is exactly what I stated previously in the first part of this reflection. Professor Pryor I believes forces us to create a system to try and achieve the overall goal of starting a business. I believe each assignment he gives us including this one is a tiny piece of the huge puzzle, once you combine everything the final product is a solid business idea or at least a transformed mindset of what it takes to become an entrepreneur.
3. If I had to form an exercise for this class based on the book I would have an assignment where everyone had to wake up at 4am to do some sort of creative side project that they would like to do. When Scott was working a job he was not too fond of he would go to sleep extremely early to be able to wake up at 4am the next day to do a creative project of his. He believes that creative work should be done in the morning and mind numbing work should be left later in the day.
4. My "aha" moment was when Scott Adams talked about how important it is to be somewhat selfish. He states that we should first focus on our health and well being, then focus on our finances, thirdly focus on friends, family, lovers etc. He puts family and friends as third on the list which I thought was shocking because he believes if you do not have steps one and two covered you are a burden to your family so you are not truly contributing to them as you should. He says when you have all three of these steps fulfilled you are then in the perfect place to work on yourself to contribute to society as a whole.

20A - Growing Your Social Capital
First Contact: Jorge is someone who is in the restaurant industry. Although he owns a cuban restaurant in Miami, FL. I think he would be a great contact because he owns not only one restaurant but three so that proves how successful he has been throughout his career that he has been able to expand his restaurant locations. I know him because he is my friends father. He thought my idea was interesting he himself has thought about opening up a restaurant of his own in a college town, he is just worried how business would be in the summer since a majority of kids leave back home. He said it is manageable but the location of the restaurant who be crucial if you wanted to prosper. He liked that the restaurant would be open late at night since a majority of college students are out passed 12am at least four times of the week. He did say that I should have focus groups and specials to draw in more customers and attempt to draw a consistent amount of gators into the restaurant.
Second Contact: The next person I decided to contact was Michele I decided to contact Michele because she has worked within the restaurant business since she was eighteen years old. Today she has been working in the field for over twenty two years. Specifically, in the last ten years in the field she has been hired as a marketing manager, specifically having her own small team trying to solve ways to lower the cost of customer acquisition for over eleven restaurants in the Miami area. She would be extremely helpful to me because customer acquisition is arguably the toughest things for all types of businesses to master and without it you will indeed fail. She can be my head of marketing to help things get up and running.
Third Contact: Alexander an former worker at Cheney Brothers which is major food distributor around the state of Florida. He used to be in charge of management at their facility in Miami, Florida. He worked for the company for over eleven and a half years. He knows all the in and out of the restaurant and food distributing business having worked in it for so long. Sourcing your food when owning a restaurant is arguably the most important priority as a restaurant owner. The quality of the food is paramount if you want to have returning customers day in and day out. Alexander will be extremely useful in my business idea because he will be able to help me not only source the best quality foods from different food distributors from all around Florida but also get the best deals to help increase profit for my business.
This assignment was extremely crucial because it forced me to go out and network to connect myself with people who can help me get to where I want to be. You know the saying "It is not what you know it is who you know" and that could not be more true especially in this day in age where every market you look at is extremely competitive one person can never get too much help, especially when starting a business. I had no idea I had so many connections in the restaurant field till I really started to think about who I know and how they can help.

19A - Idea Napkin
1. I am David Martin. I am a junior at the University of Florida studying business administration who is passionate about health and fitness. My skills and experiences come from being a weightlifter for 4 and a half years learning the most effective and efficient ways to get into shape. My aspirations are to inspire and help people live better healthier lives. This business would play an enormous role in my life because it would fulfill my life's mission, and having your passion as a career is a beautiful thing.
2. My product will be a restaurant named Gainz on the Go. It will be a healthy fast food alternative that is open late at night for all the late night gators out there. It will be a place anyone can go to get good quality food that is locally grown and is very affordable as well. The unmet need I am providing is offering a healthy fast food option that is open late at night when there are only unhealthy fast food options such as McDonalds open.
3. I am offering it to anyone, but my primary customer will most likely be Gators who are out late at night from either studying or partying. Specifically, Gators who are from the ages 18-26 years of age.
4. Customers will pay me for my service because it will be the best fast food option that will be open passed 11:00 pm.
5. What I have that most people do not is a realistic vision combined an extreme work ethic. I think at things very objectively so they can be done most efficiently and effectively. I am also extremely passionate about health and fitness which will push me to do this business.
I believe all of these elements do fit together. I am passionate about health and fitness and I am also a Gator so I know exactly what I need to do to attract customers. I really think this idea can revolutionize the fast food industry. I will do whatever in my power to get this thing started. I will also cook the food myself and have focus groups to determine if people really like the taste. As well as run marketing campaigns on social media outlets.
The two things I got from the feedback is how I could give the consumer really good tasting food and I would solve this by using focus groups to see if Gators like the food. The other concern was how I would market the restaurant which my response was through marketing campaigns.

17A Elevator Pitch
https://youtu.be/rlyBVJdmTsc
2. I feedback that people really liked about my elevator pitch was that I provided statistics about my specific industry and how it is constantly growing year in and year out. As well as the potential of having my business in Gainesville where it will have no other restaurants like it. None of the feedback I got surprised me and none of it made me feel silly.
3. What stood out to me the most was that my first attempt of an elevator pitch was a tad bit too long, also had a long awkward pauses where I was out of the camera which was not good. I fixed all these errors in my revised elevator pitch.

18A- Create a Custom Avatar
My prototypical customer would be anyone who is into health and wellness. My customers hobbies could include weightlifting, nutrition, or playing any type of sport. I would not say that they tend to drive any car particular but I feel like some might enjoy to bike as a form of transportation. They would most probably watch a lot of fitness enthusiasts on Youtube and other forms of social media. They are typically in the age group of 18-28 years of age. They most likely feel much younger than they are since they are always active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. What I have in common with my customer is that I too am into health, nutrition, and fitness. I love to bike as well to stay active instead of driving my car. I think it is not a coincidence I have things in common with my avatar because we are similar people who are like minded. I think that creating an avatar is extremely helpful because it paints a picture of who I might have as a potential customer some day.

16 A: Whats Your Secret Sauce
Human Capital:
1. I speak two languages English and Spanish. This allows me to communicate with a large amount of people that I would not otherwise have the ability to communicate with.
2. I am extremely passionate about learning. I never settle with what I know and I am constantly trying to learn new things whether with food, fitness, school, or business.
3. I believe I have a lot of charisma. I know how to get a room of people all talking and interacting with one another. I believe I am very lively and can make others feel the same way.
4. I am very educated on nutrition and personal training. I can teach/help most people how to achieve their fitness goals.
5. I am extremely competitive and I never settle on anything in life. If I have my eyes set on a task I do whatever I can to the best of my abilities until the task is thoroughly complete.
5 Interviews:
Daniel: He believes I am a extremely hard worker, and are very competitive. He knows whenever I am put to do a task I never slack off and find short cuts on how to do it. Although sometimes he can be too competitive and let it get to him.
Zulima: She says how well I am able to speak both Spanish and English since I grew up speaking both languages. She says I am fluent in both.
Denise: She says since I was little I was always able to make people smile with my words. She said whenever there would be any group activities I would be the first person to start talking and getting everyone working while having fun.
Melissa: She agrees that I am very well educated on health and fitness. She says how much she appreciated me helping her on achieving her fitness goals last summer and because of the knowledge I gave her she was able to gain 5lbs of muscle.
Anthony: He agrees I am almost obsessed with learning. Ever since I started school I was always top of my class and getting straight A's. Outside of the classroom I was always looking up different subjects such as business, fitness, nutrition, etc. to expand my knowledge of different subjects.
Reflection
What people thought of me were quite aligned with what I thought of myself originally. I do agree with the one point Daniel made about me that I can get too competitive from time to time and it is something I am trying to work on. I do not really see any difference in the ways people described me and how I see myself. All in all I would not change anything that is in my list.

15A- Figuring Out Buyer Behavior
First Interview:
In my first interview I went to the Chick-fil-A that is on campus on spoke to a girl named Raven that was sitting alone eating a meal. I asked her if she is into health and fitness in which she replied yes she does in fact it is a passion of hers. I said thats great and asked her how often she goes out to eat late at night and she said whenever she goes out to any parties, clubs or bars she always finds some place to eat after. I then asked where does she usually go and is she happy with the food she does decide to eat when she goes out. She replied most of the time she goes to McDonalds and orders McChickens because it is the best she can do with the options available after 12 AM. She brought up how she wished there was a chipotle, Bolay, or Vale open late at night because she would not feel so guilty about eating out after a night out. Price does not matter to her although quality does but she will settle if there are no other options at hand.
Alternative Evaluation: When she is hungry she usually settles her hunger with your typical low quality McDonalds food or goes to another basic fast food place if it is closer to her at the time.
How/Where to Buy: She buys her food after a night out at McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Taco Bell. Etc.
Post Purchase Evaluation: What matters most to Raven is eating instead of starving she much rather eat something that is not of the best quality rather than go to bed starving. Although, if she had the option she would go to the place that provided the better quality food.
Second Interview:
In my second interview I went to Chipotle around 10:30 PM thirty minutes before they close and for some reason the line was quite long so I started talking to the guy waiting in line in front of me. His name was also David, I asked David if he generally tries to eat healthy and if he does when he goes out to eat what places does he go to when he is looking for fast and healthy food. He then responded the only two places that are quote on quote considered fast food that he eats at are Chipotle and Chick-fil-A I asked him why and he said because those to places offer the most fresh food in his opinion. I then asked him if he ever eats passed 12:00 AM and if he did would he come to the two previously mentioned restaurants late at night. He responded by telling me he wished they were open late at night so he can just grab the food when he was done studying late at night, but instead he needs to interrupt his studying to run and get food before these places close cause if not he will stay hungry. He said quality is extremely important to him and price is as well he does not want to pay more than $10 for a meal.
Alternative Evaluation: He buys food at Chipotle or Chick-fil-A if not he just cooks once he gets home at night.
How/Where to Buy: Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, or he just cooks his food
Post Purchase Evaluation: David really emphasized quality it was paramount to his decision on where he goes to eat as well as price. He does not want to spend more than $10 on food.
Third Interview:
In my last interview I spoke with Arie she sits next to me in one of my classes. I wanted her opinion on where she goes out to eat because I know she is extremely into working out and staying healthy and on top of that I know how much she loves to go out. She said she never really goes out to eat because she never knows truly how accurate the macronutrient labels are and she is extremely OCD about tracking her macros. So she usually either has food already done so she can eat when she gets back or she cooks after a night out.
Alternative Evaluation: She cooks her own food and does not eat out.
How/Where to Buy: She cooks at home.
Post Purchase Evaluation: Arie would not be my type of target customer because she doe not eat out.
Conclusion: Based off of these interview I learned that quality and pricing are most important to customers. They want to feel satisfied that each penny spent of food was well spent and deserved. I will strive to produce quality affordable food for my fellow gators.
